My Chosen Charities
Writing has always been my passion, but beyond storytelling, I believe in using my platform to support causes that truly matter. That’s why I proudly support Soldiers Off The Streets and Pet Pantry—two incredible charities that make a real difference in the lives of people and animals in need.
Soldiers Off The Streets is dedicated to helping homeless veterans by providing essential support, from housing assistance to mental health aid. These brave men and women have sacrificed so much for us, and it’s heartbreaking to see them struggle after service. Supporting this charity is my way of giving back to those who’ve given so much.
Pet Pantry focuses on ensuring that no pet goes hungry. In difficult times, many families struggle to afford food and care for their beloved animals, and Pet Pantry steps in to help. As an animal lover, I believe no pet should suffer due to financial hardship, and this charity’s work is truly inspiring.
Through my books and this platform, I want to raise awareness and encourage others to support these vital causes.
Every little bit helps, whether it’s spreading the word, donating, or simply learning more about the challenges these charities are tackling.
Thank you for being here, and for joining me in making a difference.
Soldiers Off The Street

Welcome to the Soldiers Off the Street. We are a Registered Charity No. 1137594, Registered in Scotland. SC042204. We have been registered since 26 August 2010 with a dedicated group of people determined to help the forgotten ex-service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness.
We all think they deserve better after going through the traumatic experience of war in far-off lands, what they have been through for the country they love, to be forgotten and homeless is a national disgrace. That we intend to put right for as many as we can!
Although the charity is called Soldiers off the Street, we do not deal with just soldiers. We help all ex-service personnel, Army, RAF, and RN, past and present, not just those in the present conflict.
The charity's objects (the Objects) are the relief of charitable need of homeless ex-service personnel, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of clothing, food and rehabilitation, including advice on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcoholism, drug abuse, housing and employment.
If you would like to help us help forgotten ex-service personnel whose lives have been affected by homelessness, please give generously. If you cannot, why not just give the price of a pint? If we met in a pub, you would not think twice about buying me a pint, would you? It all helps.
100% of all donations go into running S.O.T.S. Thank you from all those who cannot thank you themselves!
Pet Pantry

So a little bit about how The Pet Pantry idea has come about....
Hey, I'm Kay.. I've been rescuing for almost 15 years, but had a huge gap while I was pregnant with my youngest, as I was really poorly.
In the last 10 months, I've rescued, trained, and rehomed 4 dogs, 7 cats, and 4 Pregnant cats. I've also found homes for the cats and kittens old enough, obviously. Currently, I have a Nursing cat who just had 2 kittens, and I have another pregnant cat that's also due anytime soon. I won't lecture about spaying and neutering on this post, but it's another thing I want to help people out with because it's becoming a huge problem!
Anyways, not just myself, but did you know that Foster/rescue people pay from their own pockets for these animals? We make sure they never go without, but that being said, it's expensive. I know there are people who are willing to help, knowing the fate these animals could have come to if I hadn't taken them on or helped out!
So this just sparked a thought at silly o'clock this morning..... if I could get a community of people together, it may just help people keep their own pets. Sometimes it's not due to the fault of someone's self that they don't have money to also feed pets... we've all been there
So here we are
I hope we can get some donations, so that if anyone needs it, they can ask.
But also, it just helps and means I and others can help more animals if I have the resources to do so.
Time, experience, and space are never my problems, but these animals need feeding, so I'm limited to when I can help.
Please help when you can... I have various drop and collection points... and people willing to collect from you too.. just pop us a message on Facebook xx
